libcrypt-cracklib-perl software package provides Perl interface to Alec Muffett's Cracklib, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libcrypt-cracklib-perl
libcrypt-cracklib-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libcrypt-cracklib-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libcrypt-cracklib-perl *
You will get with libcrypt-cracklib-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
